Since HOPE of the Grand Valley’s birth in 2009 we have been striving to do what God has called us to do, to offer those without hope…. love and hope with Jesus.
As the years have gone by, it has become very clear that there are many families in the Grand Valley that are trying their best to makes ends meet, but there is a gap at the end of that rope, they have a roof over their heads, but that roof is leaking. They are working two jobs, they have some food on the table, but the end of the month there is very little to feed their children. They are living paycheck to pay check believing there is no hope to ever get ahead.
Jeremiah 29:11
New International Version (NIV)
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
The stress and worry that goes along with working long hard hours for minimum wage is so difficult, and then you add your children’s needs in the mix, it becomes overwhelming.
HOPE of the Grand Valley’s desire is to help to relieve that stress, by providing that bed or other furniture that is otherwise out of reach. HOPE of the Grand Valley is here to offer prayer, mentors, and friends to help with support when the days become hopeless.
God has brought an amazing team of volunteers to HOPE of the Grand Valley, with the heart to help, and this is what 2012 will be for HOPE of the Grand Valley; to help by lending an ear, support, prayer, encouragement, and basic needs. A true hand up, not a hand out. We are here to offer true hope… through the love of Jesus.
HOPE of the Grand Valley’s vision is:
“Our Community working together as One through Christ, bringing Hope and Assistance to those in need.”
HOPE of the Grand Valley’s vision was proven to be right on in 2009 and 2010 and 2011.
Our “Adopt a Family for Christmas” program this year verified that HOPE of the Grand Valley’s vision is right on target.
This is ‘Our Community working together…and I believe with our devotion, we will be coming together even stronger and more determined to bridge those gaps.
Our Mission is:
HOPE of the Grand Valley's passion, and what we believe God has called us to do, is to help those in need and empowering them to have HOPE, acknowledging their true HOPE is through Christ.
The year 2012 for HOPE:
HOPE of the Grand Valley will be walking along side those that are feeling alone and desperate, providing furniture and basic needs plus an ear, a shoulder, encouragement and we will help them to find a Church and Church family that will embrace them, and help them grow. We are here to plant seeds and to help those seeds grow with the love of Jesus during their struggle, and to walk along beside them as they grow and become successful.
HOPE of the Grand Valley is not an agency; we do not represent a particular church; we are Jesus followers.
HOPE of the Grand Valley is a stand-alone non-profit with a true heart to help those that are trying their best to help themselves all in the name of Jesus Christ.
